WILDERNESS

Wilderness (also referred to as Desert) draws from the condition of prolonged spiritual formation under isolation, testing and preparation. ​This collection will explore images and colors that translate the long seasons of waiting; when direction is unclear, comfort is removed, and formation occurs through the letting go of unnecessary baggage and the acquisition of wisdom through God’s Word.

​The wilderness is not punishment. It is a functional stage of development and training.​ These works will reflect isolation, endurance, and the quiet transformation that happens far from spectators.
